Bio

Interesting Friendllows

Oleander has a strong moral compass, leaning towards helping as many people as he possibly can. Anything that harms someone or a group of people that he deems innocent or correct he will not entertain. This attitude comes from experience with war, where he witnessed all sides of the conflict exist not as the enemy but as another, living being, and how the nations of the world were squeezing out every drop of life from their people to surrender to alien gods (that could care less). One of these betrayed people, Oleander constantly looks toward helping those who need it most, whether it be running errands, fending off monsters, or casually stomping out invasive species. Of course, bad things have come from war, as per usual. While he dreams of pursuing his own ambitions, he also shuts down any ideas because of his impossible circumstances as a deserter. He would rather stay put than bother trying to fix things he has already deemed broken, anyways. Oleander also tends to ignore attempts at personal connections, and uses his past as a warning for relying too much on others. This unfortunately keeps him stuck in an endless loop of boring days with nothing to do, scorning those who treat him like a fragile egg that will crack at any mention of war.

Present Day

Oleander is cheerful and bright, and never misses an opportunity to crack mediocre jokes that only he finds funny. Despite being outwardly open and friendly, he tends to speak little and speak quietly when he really has something to say. When in conversation, he usually listens and observes, never once commenting on the thousands of thoughts swimming in his head. Yet somehow, this transparent, almost ghostly presence has a big impact on any who approach it. Inversely, every presence has a large impact on Oleander-- it must be why he decided to pick up 7 homeless children and raise them (for fun, y'know?). Never being able to shake the intense urge to help people, Oleander raised the children until they grew to love him like a father. This was all very short-lived. In just a few years, they were all split up by an alarmingly common catastrophic event, then sent to every corner of Yun'Ktal. Now, paired with an old friend made on a journey from half his life ago, Oleander has set off to find them and get their family back together.
