Viola is both snarky and sarcastic. One must wonder how much sass she contains in that little head of hers. She most definitely has something to say about everything, it's most definitely not nice, and she most definitely will say it no matter what. Viola is also egotistical, and she is under the firm belief that the world, in most ways, revolves around her. If she can flaunt off her intelligence, she will do so without another thought. Because she was raised more as a spectacle rather than a person, Viola's grown to learn that she must be all these things-- except for being snarky, sarcastic and sassy. She learned that on her own, finally being free of her society's gaze. Her life was laid out for her the moment she was born-- she was meant to be intelligent and own her intelligence over everyone else around her, and she was meant to remain the best in the only thing made to matter for her, being education. Although it doesn't kill anyone to be the most intelligent in Phi'Grea (it certainly doesn't bother Viola), she's still not sure if being the smartest is the thing she absolutely wants. Having graduated all her mandated education with the highest marks, she now has been forced to (or is following her dreams?) apply to Phi'Grea's most prestigious academy, the House of Locks, to further confirm her status of 'the Best'. The only problem is their highly selective process-- accepting only a hundred students every five years from thousands of applicants, solely based on a research paper. Viola must find a topic that will wow the admissioners, and she has decided that she'll probe her curious eyes for one in Mixol, Phi'Grea's greatest military enemy.
Viola is still snarky and sarcastic. She is still sassy. She has graduated from Locks, so she's about as intelligent as ever. But she is very, very bored, and she misses a certain friend quite dearly. Yes, Viola has been able to follow 'her dreams', and she's gotten quite the life out of it as Phi'Grea's most renowned scholar-- but the cost, as it always has been, is everyone's admiration and contempt, all at once. Her breakthroughs and literature are astonishing, and it seems like she can do anything with words or with enough brimming curiosity, but it has never been what she truly wanted. It's not bad to be smart-- especially in Phi'Grea-- but it's awful when it takes over your life in the way it has for Viola. It seemed, once she graduated Locks, her whole life had ended-- the journey was over, and she was without purpose to fulfill and a shoulder to lean on. Now, bored out of her mind, reviewing her juniors' papers and tutoring them endlessly, she wonders if Andy still lives in the same house as he had years ago. But there was no need to worry, because Andy had found his way to her-- and with a very interesting favor to ask.
